Globo representative Diego Martins presents the first production by Rinaldo Giannicini

After penetrating all over Brazil as Kelvin in the TV series Earth and passionfrom Globo, Diego Martinez is part of the play’s cast Priscilla, Queen of the Desert She recorded a behind-the-scenes video of the actors’ first photo session as characters. In addition to portraying himself as a drag queen, the actor also showed how it was Rinaldo Giannicini’s first production.

The actors appeared as characters in promotional photos for the musical, which will open on June 7, at the Bradesco Theater, in São Paulo. Giannicini actually looked unrecognizable in the photos, and Diego showed off his co-star’s makeup process.

“Drag was born,” Martinez said while filming the artist applying makeup. “First setup, huh,” answered Giannicini, who had never performed a drag queen before.

In the story, Diego plays Felicia and Reynaldo plays Mitzi, two of the protagonists of the show. Completing the trio of heroes is Bernadette, played by actress Wally Roy.
