Workers born in August can withdraw emergency aid

Informal workers registered in the Federal Government’s Consolidated Register of Social Programs (CadÚnico) born in August can withdraw the seventh batch of emergency aid for 2021 from today (12). Funds were deposited into Caixa Econômica Federal’s digital savings accounts on October 28.

Resources can also be transferred to a checking account at no cost to the user. So far, funds can only be transferred through the Caixa Tem app, which allows paying local bills (water, electricity, phone, gas), payment receipts, purchases in virtual stores or purchases using a QR code (an advanced version of the barcode) on the devices of partner institutions.

Emergency aid was created in April last year by the federal government to help vulnerable people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was paid in five installments of R$600 or R$1200 for single mothers and then extended until December 31, 2020 in four installments of R$300 or R$600 each.

This year, the payment round included seven installments ranging from R$150 to R$375, depending on the profile: families generally received R$250; The single-parent family, headed by a woman, received R$375; People living alone received R$150.

Rules

Under the established rules, the assistance was paid to families with a total monthly income of three minimum wages, as long as the individual’s income was less than half the minimum wage. The beneficiary must be considered eligible by December 2020, as there was no new submission stage. For those receiving Bolsa Família, the most beneficial value rule continued to be applied, whether it was the paid portion of the social program or emergency assistance.

The program will end with the fourth batch, which was deposited in July and withdrawn in August, but it was so Extended until October, with the same values ​​in favor.
