Workers born in April can already withdraw benefits

Informal workers registered in the Federal Government’s Individual Registry of Social Programs (CadÚnico) born in April can withdraw the fourth batch of 2021 emergency aid from today (5). Funds were deposited into Caixa Econômica Federal’s digital savings accounts on July 21.

Resources can also be transferred to a checking account at no cost to the user. So far, funds can only be transferred through the Caixa Tem app, which allows the payment of local bills (water, electricity, phone, gas), bills, purchases in virtual stores or purchases using a QR code (an advanced version of barcode) on the machines of partner institutions.

In case of doubts, the Caixa 111 telephone exchange is open from Monday to Sunday, 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. In addition, the beneficiary can refer to the website auxilio.caixa.gov.br.

The withdrawal was originally scheduled for August 23, but was brought forward for about three weeks by Caixa’s decision. According to the bank, the adaptation of technological systems and beneficiaries to the emergency aid payment system allowed the timetable to be brought forward.

Emergency aid was created in April last year by the federal government to help vulnerable people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was paid in five installments of R$600 or R$1200 for single mothers and then extended until December 31, 2020 in four installments of R$300 or R$600 each.

This year, the new round of payments, for seven months, expects installments ranging from R$150 to R$375, depending on the profile: families, in general, get R$250; Single-parent family, headed by a woman, receives R$375; People who live alone receive R$150.

According to the established rules, the assistance will be paid to families with a total monthly income of three minimum wages, provided that the per capita income is less than half the minimum wage. It is essential that the beneficiary has already been deemed eligible by December 2020, as there is no new application stage. For those receiving Bolsa Família, the most beneficial value rule remains in effect, whether it is the paid portion of the social program or emergency assistance.

The program ends with the fourth installment, which is deposited in July and withdrawn in August, but extended through October, with the same amounts in favor of accrual.
