Two of the biggest teams in world basketball go head-to-head this Wednesday. The United States, led by LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Jayson Tatum, played against Serbia led by Nikola Jokic in an Olympic friendly at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The Denver Nuggets center team started the game with a good rhythm, but the Americans came back in the second quarter to win 105 to 79. Basketball at the Paris Olympics begins on July 27 and ends on August 11.
The U.S. team continues to prepare for France as it seeks its 17th Olympic victory. The Americans make their debut in Paris against Serbia. Both the teams are in Group C along with South Sudan and Puerto Rico. It is in Group B with Brazil, Germany, Japan and France.
The best players on the planet took to the court in the friendly between the USA and Serbia, and few stood out in the first quarter of the game. Stephen Curry began by exploring three points. He scored two goals early in the game to put the USA in the lead. But Nikola Jokic took charge and leveled everything in the first stage of the match: 28 to 28.
