Patients at Roraima General Hospital (HGR) contacted FolhaBV to complain about the lack of air conditioning at the venue. According to reports, they have been suffering from the heat for two months and there are not even fans to alleviate the situation.
“Here, those who cannot bring a fan suffer from this heat. I am a patient in the hospital and suffer from a disease in which I cannot feel heat, and my skin suffers from the appearance of wounds,” one complainant reported.
According to him, complaints were submitted directly to the hospital staff, but the staff stated that there was no plan to solve the problem, because the air conditioners would not be compatible with the local electrical grid.

When contacted, the Ministry of Health (CISAO) reported that since Wednesday (6), air conditioning units and VRF devices (central air conditioning system that connects several evaporators to one condenser) at the Roraima Rubens de Sousa Pinto General Hospital were being operated and are being maintained and are back in operation 100 %.
Regarding the incompatibility with the electrical grid, Sisaw denied the origin of the information and claimed that the reported problems are linked to the frequent power outages that occur in the area where HGR is located.
