Anita raised concerns among her followers on Tuesday evening, the 8th of this month, after she revealed that she was at her home in Miami, Florida (USA), while the state was preparing for the arrival of Hurricane Milton. “That’s what made me realize that I had four houses, but I ended up staying in them [casa] “Only from Miami when the hurricane passes,” Anita wrote on her Instagram Stories.
The pop singer owns four homes: one in Miami, two in Rio de Janeiro, and one in Los Angeles. Hurricane Milton is expected to reach the coastal region of the United States on Wednesday night, September 9, with wind speeds of up to 270 km/h. This storm, a Level 5 storm, will be the largest on the planet in 2024.
“Good morning to everyone who is very worried. Guys, I’m in Miami, the hurricane is passing through Tampa, it’s close to here, it’s really very dangerous (…) but here in Miami, what we’re going to feel is a level 1 storm, so it’s a storm.” “There will be some flooding, but there is no danger to life.”
“The danger to life is in Tampa, which is a few hours away from here. I woke up today and my cell phone was full of messages from friends and family worried about me, but everything is fine. (…) In fact, the supermarkets here are empty. “People emptied everything, water and food, but I think it’s because people are desperate (…) There will be some leftover storms, rain and wind.”
Celebrities like Jairzinho and Nívea Stellman shared on social media the preparations they are making with their families for the hurricane’s arrival. Other celebrities, such as Tina Muller and Leo Santana, decided to return to Brazil before the storm arrived.
The city of Tampa, which Anita refers to, is expected to be hardest hit by Hurricane Milton. More than a million people have abandoned their homes, and thousands more are trying to leave the city by land before the phenomenon ends.
