Meta’s instant messaging platform WhatsApp released in May the ability to change the playback speeds of voice messages. The company is now working on bringing the same feature to forwarded voice messages.
According to a WABetaInfo report, when audio is redirected, playback cannot be accelerated because the speed button is not available. New feature coming soon.
The feature was outlined in a recent beta version of WhatsApp for iOS, but it is currently in development and will definitely come in future WhatsApp betas for Android as well.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also developing some new apps for macOS and Windows users.
WhatsApp is developing new apps for Windows users. It is said to be an application based on the Universal Windows Platform which was developed from the ground up.
The app will include a drawing feature which will be especially useful for devices with touch screens.
