Have you ever imagined centralizing all your… Conversations from different applications in one place? once again, WhatsApp I decided to come up with a function that would make it possible to receive messages from other applications within the messenger itself and are testing it. With this, WhatsApp could become a kind of “message center”, being able to display messages received via Telegram and Messenger, among other chat applications.

The “Third Party Chats” functionality became available in the TestFlight iOS app in the penultimate week of January. Through the new tool, WhatsApp aims to adapt to the European Union's Digital Markets Act, which seeks to regulate the behavior of major technology companies.
The law in the European Union was called interoperability, a term consisting of the ability of users of different applications to exchange messages even without having a WhatsApp account. According to experts, the action generates more diverse and inclusive communication, which may improve the user's communication experience.
How will the WhatsApp Messaging Center work?
In the screenshots released by WABetaInfo, a new area will be listed in the app, above the archived conversations. It's labeled “Third-Party Conversations” (loosely translated as “Third-Party Chats”), and will contain messages received in other apps. This way, users will be able to centralize their messages from apps like Telegram and Discord in just one place.
European legislation stipulates that companies with a significant digital impact must enable users to communicate through other applications. In Section 7 of the law, users will be able to control the resource. In other words, the function can be activated manually by anyone who wishes.
However, it is not yet known when the tool will be officially launched and whether this feature will only be available in Europe. However, the new feature is expected to be released in the next update of the app. Another expected point is that the tool will initially be available only in the European Union, but will be distributed worldwide later.
