What was the “very bad program” that Paulo Vieira and Rafael Portugal tested? · the news

Paulo Vieira won the 2023 Best of the Year award in the Humor category, and noted in his acceptance speech that he met Rafael Portugal, one of his competitors, when the two auditioned together for Breaking Bad. The name of the attraction was not revealed, which aroused the public’s curiosity.

However, in 2018, Vieira and Portugal already commented on the meeting they had during the show’s audition. Without defining it as “very bad” at the time, they revealed that it was an attraction performed by comedian Wellington Muniz, from Ceara, at Multishow.

Vieira received the Paolo Gustavo Award, in honor of the comedian who died in 2021, from his mother, Mrs. Dia Lucia. He was enthusiastic, valued the translator of Doña Herminia as one of the biggest names in international comedy and then wanted to praise his rivals in this regard.

“I met Rafael Portugal ten years ago, at an audition for a really bad show. We were trying to get into the bad show,” he began, with Portugal’s eyes tearing up.

“We were in such a bad place that the audition was over, and we left the studio, and I said to him, ‘Man, I don’t have the money to go home.’ He said, ‘Neither do I.’ And we went back to ask the owner of the show for money, like, ‘We did the audition. Give us some money to go home by bus,” Vieira recalls.

“I thought it was very symbolic that we were nominated here. I love you, it’s a pleasure to be with you here today. You really deserve this trophy here,” said the winner, who also mentioned Fabio Burchat, who worked with him. Porsche program (2016-2018).

In fact, Vieira revealed the encounter during Ciara’s auditions for the talk show Record. In May 2018, Portugal was a guest on the edition and said he had never passed a test. Porsche’s assistant took the opportunity to recall the situation they had lived together.

“Rafael and I tested together,” he said. “Ô Paulo,” Portugal snapped, trying to avoid the story. “Test what?” Borchat asked. “No need to talk, Paulo!” Portugal insisted. But Vieira ignored his friend and insisted on remembering him.

“Once we went for an audition, I think it was for a program in Ceara, if I’m not mistaken,” he said. “That was it,” Portugal agreed, annoyed. “Then the test went further. I asked him how he was going to leave, and he said it depended on the subway. I said: ‘There’s no more subway, no’. So we took two or one to see who would leave.” Ask for R$50 for Ciara to come home.”

“What do you mean you went to Siara to ask for money?” Burchat was shocked. “We went to Ceara to ask for money. We didn’t have a penny. We spent money to get there, we did the audition, which was actually a scene in the audition and I still ask Paulo for forgiveness to this day,” Portugal admitted.
