On Thursday evening, striker Wagner Love spoke on social media about the incident in which he was harassed by members of the organization sportsOn Wednesday upon arrival at the airport for the flight to Campinas. Leao will play against Mirasol next Friday, in the second round.
In his speech, the player thanked the support he received after the events, stressed that fans have the right to demonstrate as long as it is peaceful, and said that sport is bigger than just one athlete. (See full text at the end).
