Villa Nova officially announced the departure of midfielder Fernando to Internacional. According to a statement issued by the club on Thursday morning, the player received a new offer from Colorado and accepted it.
According to the statement, Villa Nova will receive financial compensation in exchange for the player’s departure. Fernando only played six matches for Tigre upon his return to the club he unveiled.

But Fernando decided to return to Vila Nova, the club that revealed him. One of the reasons that prompted the player to return “home” was his family’s request.
The midfielder's return has sparked great expectations among Villa fans, who were on the verge of a move to Serie A last year. Reach is the club's main goal for 2024, and Fernando will be an important player in the fight for the Brazilian championship.
Fernando started at Tigrao and participated in the 2005 state title campaign, precisely the last time Villa Nova won the Goiano Championship. In 2007, he was sold to Porto and began a successful career in European football.
In 2014, Fernando was hired by Manchester City, where he remained until 2017. He also played for Galatasaray in Turkey, and in 2019, he began a very successful career with Sevilla in Spain.
Among his many achievements on the Old Continent, Fernando was a three-time Europa League champion with Sevilla and also won titles in the Portuguese Championship, Portuguese Cup and Turkish Championship.
