They were fired after a video of three security guards attacking and dragging women on their way out of a nightclub in Nottingham, England, was shared on social media. The pictures still show the victims being thrown to the ground and pressed against a plate.
In a Facebook post, 21-year-old Niamh Watson said security guards had “racist and abused” one of her friends, causing confusion when they left the Stealth nightclub on Sunday morning. She said she was thrown to the ground and pulled by the hair and pushed against a gate. According to Watson, one of his friends was stabbed in the stomach and thrown into a car.
“They attacked my girlfriend, so I helped her and tried to get them out. So they beat me and dragged me back to the scene and held me against the gate,” Watson told the BBC News. “I couldn’t breathe. I knew it sounded dramatic, but for a minute I thought he was going to kill me.”
In one video, the young woman is shown screaming at the guard to free herself and lower herself. In the records, one of the women can be seen being attacked trying to react. The shared pictures show the wounds and injuries caused by the occupation.
Police were called at 2:38 a.m. Sunday and the group was disbanded. Authorities say the case is being investigated and witnesses have already testified.
Stealth said it would cooperate with police and provide footage of security rounds. He also said agents were investigating customers and staff involved in the chaos. In a statement, the club announced it had suspended guards after the incident.
“We were shocked by the video circulating about an incident outside our premises on Goldsmith Street. We understand how traumatic they are. We immediately decided to suspend the homeowners involved when we conducted the investigation,” he said.
The company said it was reviewing the company, which was contracted to provide protection in line with the protocol. He also said he encourages training with the team.
