American tornado rips off roofs and sends debris across the city
A tornado hit a home on Sunday, killing one resident and injuring another. Bad weather wreaked havoc in Indiana, Tennessee and other states, an official said.
The tornadoes that hit the home Sunday night were part of a storm system that hit Martin County.
Another formation hit Johnson County in the state’s south, leaving 75 homes with “moderate to severe damage.”
In a video recorded in the Greenwood area, strong winds create a tornado that takes roofs off houses and scatters debris across the area.
In the post, a man says he has never seen anything like it and is scared by the force of the wind.
“Obviously this is a very dangerous scene for the area,” Bargersville Fire Chief Erik Funkhouser said at a news conference.
In another state, Tennessee, 120,000 homes and businesses were without power on Sunday as storms with high winds downed trees and caused other damage.
