Timao opened the scoring in the 39th minute of the first half after Wesley moved quickly and shot into the goal defended by Fabio. The young Corinthians striker also scored the second goal after dribbling between four Fluminense players and scoring into the net in the 46th minute of the first half.

The third goal came in the first minute of the second half. After a Jaro free kick, defender Kaká appeared to be free to head the ball over and complete the scoring for Corinthians.
Timão reaches four points and moves up to 12th place, while Tricolor has the same result, but is in 15th place. Corinthians' next match will be against Fortaleza on Saturday (4), at 4pm, at the New Quimica Arena. Meanwhile, Fluminense hosts Atlético MG at the Estadio Cléber Andrade in Carriasica (Spain).
