Video: App driver in US realizes passenger is friend he hasn’t seen in 20 years; See reaction | the world

It took an app driver less than a minute into the journey to realize that the passenger in the back seat of his car was an old friend.

“When you’re driving in Uber, you pick up a passenger and realize it’s an old friend you haven’t seen in over 20 years,” the driver, identified as Danny, said on his social media.

He released the video last week and said over the weekend that he was touched by the resonance of the image of the reunion around the world. “We appreciate the love and the followers, and we’re happy that we’ve touched people around the world. It’s touched us.”

A friend of the driver, retired John Johnson, commented on the reunion on his social networks. “The Uber driver is actually a good friend I’ve known for 25 years. What a meeting,” the passenger said.

Asked by a follower, Danny said the two exchanged phone numbers after the race to keep in touch.
