Exclusive: Utah signed Newly married couples The duo, Jamie Ling and Sophie, loved it in all areas.
The US agency will represent British TV, radio and pod presenters through its UK Creator practice in partnership with UTA-owned Curtis Brown. Last year, UTA signed with Laing’s podcast network, JamPot, which produces his podcasts and Haboo. The duo left their previous British agency YMU, which has seen a lot of changes recently.
Ling and Happo met at E4 Made in Chelsea Several years ago. They left the show in 2021, got married in 2023 and launched their own successful podcast newly married couples, That came out of his back Almost Wednesday displays. Other groups they have managed include the Habbo and Melissa Tatham Group Wednesday and Great company with Jamie LingBoth are made by JamPot. Laing also presents BBC Radio 1 programmes Driving time With Vic Hope and Katie Thistleton.
UTA described the signings as an “important milestone” for the Creator division that launched in 2006. Other signed talent includes Emma Chamberlain, Alex and Ashtyn Earle, Madeline Arge, Charli D’Amelio, Jake Shane, Kay Senat and Alex Cooper.
UTA has expanded internationally in recent months. The European football agency bought Representatives of Outstanding Footballers (ROOF) over the summer and opened an office in London last year, shortly after taking over Curtis Brown.
