WhatsApp announces a new user privacy tool
The social network has announced another tool in its messaging app. At the moment, it is in the testing phase. Only people who have the trial version will have access to it. A beta is when a software developer studies a project and ensures that some users will be the first to use the software. This way, you can fix bugs and implement improvements before they are released to the general public.
Thus, the new WhatsApp update will allow the user to remove notifications. This way, when he doesn’t want to receive alerts for new messages, he can disable them temporarily or permanently. The change will also cover the app’s video and audio calls. It is not yet known when the new features will be made available to everyone. The social network does not disclose the criteria for a person to beta test.
There are currently ways to disable notifications. Both on Android mobile phones and on iPhones, it is possible to remove notifications from an app. The procedure is done through the device settings tab. In the case of Apple, there is also a way to activate the Do Not Disturb function. In this way, there is a way for the user to silence video and audio calls.
It is not yet known how the new tool can be accessed, but it is believed that it will be in the Settings tab. WhatsApp has not released more details about the new update.
