The pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together, and old rumors seem to be making more sense.
There is speculation that Until Dawn 2 is something Sony is working on, especially after a new ending was revealed in the new PS5 version of the game. Also, Firesprite, from The Persistance and Horizon VR, is developing a major PS5 exclusive – and it’s from an existing horror series.
Well, put the two pieces of information together and you’ve got a return to the theory that’s been circulating for a few weeks – it’s actually a sequel to the popular survival horror game.
As has been said elsewhere, the game’s writer, Ren Alex Rose, mentions an “unannounced branching horror-adventure game”. Meanwhile, screenwriter Emily Steele, also co-titler, Little Using Unreal Engine 5.
Would Until Dawn 2 make sense at this point?
The clearest answer to this is: yes, absolutely. Currently, Sony has just made the updated version of Until Dawn available for PS5 and PC, while a live-action feature film is being produced by Screen Gems.
In terms of content, the Wendigo story probably ended very well in the first game. However, considering the possibility of exploring the game’s various endings and possibilities, Until Dawn 2 would make a lot of sense, wouldn’t it?
