The 100 Best Companies to Work for in the State of São Paulo for 2023 have been nominated by the Great Place to Work Institute – GPTW. Unimed Ribeirão Preto appears in the list again and appears at 16th place in the ranking, remaining in the prominent group of the top 20 institutions evaluated. Compared to the previous year, the health operator advanced two spots in the ranking. In total, 1,269 companies participated in the GPTW process.
GPTW, the global specialist and reference in organizational climate research, adopts a specific methodology to measure the level of trust among professional employees in companies based on five parameters: credibility, respect, neutrality, pride and camaraderie.
“Receiving this recognition goes beyond satisfaction. It is a confirmation of our care for people who dedicate their time and believe in Unimed Ribeirão Preto’s mission of providing the best care and attention to more than 170,000 clients. It is clear that we have a work environment built on cooperation and respect,” comments Gustavo Ribeirão De Oliveira, president of the cooperative,” comments Gustavo Ribeiro de Oliveira, president of the cooperative.
Julio César Paim, CEO of Unimed Ribeirão Preto, explains that the arrival of this certification is a confirmation that employees are the focus of the cooperative.
“This award is given to us by employees who choose their companies and recognize them as the best. We have a very careful outlook on career management and have a policy that combines respect, new leadership development, continuing education, concern for workers’ health and safety, and providing career opportunities in a fair manner, regardless of gender.” Or creed or race,” highlights Pym.
Today the cooperative employs 1,700 people, and for the executive, their daily motivation is what drives the organization.
“We thank every professional who agrees every day and applies our central goal of caring and welcoming people,” the CEO added.
For the People Director of the Medical Cooperative, Cecilia Nieves, this recognition was only possible thanks to the support of the Board of Directors, the partnership of leaders and the active participation of employees in transforming an increasingly harmonious and healthy work environment.
“There is only one big company with engaged people with common goals,” he highlights.
The list of GPTW awards is broken down by the size of each company and divided between the city of São Paulo, its metropolitan area and the interior regions of the state. Each department granted 20 large companies, 20 medium companies, and ten small companies.
Relationship advisor at the Great Place to Work Institute, Rodrigo Giovanni, explains that the selection and final classification take into account two certification stages. The first was an organizational climate survey, which employees answered spontaneously. The second axis is planning and evaluating the adopted cultural practices.
“The final score, and thus the place of each company in the ranking, is formed by combining the results at these stages,” explains Giovanni.
Unimed Ribeirão Preto currently has 1,700 direct employees and brings together a medical team of more than 1,000 doctors who care for 170,000 clients. What distinguishes the health operator is the excellence in providing its services, linked to the quality characteristics and experience of the clinical staff.
