Meta AI, a version of ChatGPT adapted for Meta platforms, began being available to some WhatsApp users in Brazil this week. It’s a free AI assistant that integrates with Meta apps.
The resource, through simple descriptions, allows the user to get answers in text or images. Among the functions that Meta AI promises to provide are: creating content, such as articles, performing basic calculations, and translating messages, among other activities.
How to use WhatsApp AI?
- Open WhatsApp and go to “Ask Meta AI or search” at the top of the app; In this field, type a question or tap the airplane icon to open a conversation and interact with the AI;
- You can also click on one of the available suggestions, such as “Hotels for beach lovers,” “How to win at chess,” and “Cleaning ideas.” It is located below the search bar.
Is there a way to deactivate?
Meta AI stays with your conversations on the app’s home screen. You can delete this chat, but the AI cannot be disabled, the company informed the portal g1.
“It’s intended to be a helpful assistant and is available in the search bar to help answer your questions. You can’t turn it off in this experience, but you can search the way you normally would to access a variety of results,” the company says. He says.
What can be done is to prevent your data from being used to train Meta AI. To do this, you have to fill out a form for WhatsApp and another for Instagram and Facebook.
