UK Ministry of Defense Introduces New Medium Helicopter Project – Kvok Brazil

The UK Ministry of Defense has officially introduced the new Medium Helicopter (NMH) program, which will purchase 44 helicopters to replace existing helicopter systems for military and strategic command.

The Aerospatiale SA330E Puma HC2 is expected to cost between 900m and 1bn (approximately $ 1.3bn) to serve in the Royal Air Force and to replace the Dauphin, Bell 212 and Bell 412 in the British Army.

Through this project, the British Ministry of Defense is trying to integrate different medium-sized helicopters of the Army into one of four base types.

The purpose of the contract will include the provision of training resources and the purpose of maintenance / parts assembly and project organization.

With the NMH project, the UK Ministry aims to “streamline many existing Rotarcraft requirements into one type of operating system, enhancing commonality to improve operational efficiency and flexibility”.

The Ministry of Defense added that it will provide a typical, medium-sized multi-role helicopter equipped with but not equipped with Special Mission Equipment (MRE) capable of operating in all environments in support of security missions.

Several companies, including Leonardo, Airbus and Aeshog Aerospace, have already announced that they will be bidding for the deal.

Leonardo showcases his dual-engine multi-role military AW149 on demand, while AceHawk offers the second-hand Black Hawk ML-70 solution, under which it delivers U.S. Army or non-US Army helicopters and upgrades them with new dynamic components. , Modernized COTS Glass Cockpit (MOSA), and “Customer Requirements”. Airbus is offering the H175M for this project.

Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Bell are other competitors expected to participate.
