The UFMS Science Park (Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul) resumes visits on Monday (10th). The visits are aimed at school groups or anyone interested in learning science in a fun and interactive way.
The park is located near Estádio Morenão, in Campo Grande, and will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays during the morning and afternoon.
The site contains nine monuments: Beuchet’s chair (volume of illusions), curved mirrors, Newton’s pendulum, resonance swing, sound delay tube, interactive mosaic, Archimedes’ cart, cart on rails and parabolic sound mirrors. This year, a new attraction has been prepared: a geodesic that will attract the attention of children and adolescents to geometry lessons.
“A science park is one action that shows the effects of physics, where you learn through play. Physics teachers can prepare their classrooms and bring their students to practice with the effects of a park,” says Director of Science Publication, Leah Brambilla.
