Nasordin Imavov will take on Sean Strickland in the main event of this weekend’s UFC Fight Night, replacing the injured Kelvin Gastelum.
Gastelum revealed on Monday (January 9) that he had injured his mouth, pulling him out of his middleweight clash with Imav.
That means the American’s wait for his first win since February 2021 continues as compatriot Strickland returns to the ring a month after suffering his second straight loss – a decision loss to Jared Cannonier.
Frenchman Imavov, meanwhile, enters the UFC’s apex institution in Las Vegas on a three-fight winning streak, last fighting in front of a raucous crowd in Paris in September when he defeated Joaquin Buckley. The new main event will be at light heavyweight.
Here’s everything you need to know.
