UEA Dean closes relationship with US universities

The top management of Amazonas State University (UEA) is in talks with managers of international organizations to establish new partnerships to provide better teaching and additional opportunities for research and benefits to students, with the goal of continuing the university’s growth.

After the meeting, Sokahib said that in the future, exchanges of UEA students seeking to enhance their knowledge in fields such as biotechnology, sustainable business and start-ups may be possible. Currently, the UEA has 33 national and international agreements in force with 16 countries.

“Bilateral agreements can be signed where UEA and US university students will do internships in the US and Brazil, respectively, during the holidays,” Dean said, noting that students are very important. “They can take as an example what has been done in Silicon Valley over the years, and now it’s being carried out in Miami as well,” Shokahib said. According to Dean, the trip to the United States facilitates college initiatives and contacts with other universities. “We talked to the administration of Babson University, which is based in Chicago and has an office in Miami. We are making a lot of progress on a number of agreements,” he said.
