Toluca agrees to negotiate for Pedro Raul, who wants to play for Corinthians; Understanding the scenario Corinth

Having been targeted by Corinthians to bolster their attack, Pedro Raul continues his training routine in Toluca, Mexico, while awaiting the outcome of negotiations between the two clubs. Pedro Raul was sold by Vasco to Toluca for US$5 million (R$24 million) in July 2023. The Mexican club is aware that the ideal negotiation would be to recover the amount invested in the player, but is now considering another commercial format and even lowering the initial demand.

The last time Pedro Raul took to the field was on January 12, when he played for 61 minutes against Queretaro, in the Mexican Championship, before leaving the field suffering from muscle pain. The striker spent a few days away from activities, but returned to training at the club.

-If he stays, it's better. I count on him a lot. In fact, he was a starter in the first round. He's training normally, and I'm counting on him. Coach Renato Paiva, who played for Bahia and has been coaching the Mexican team since last year, said that Pedro did not say goodbye to the team while he was here.

Pedro Raul's name has been approved by Cifut (Centre for Football Intelligence) and endorsed by coach Mano Menezes, who wants to have a player competing for the position with Yuri Alberto.

In Toluca's 19 matches, Pedro Raúl started ten, scoring four goals and one assist. Negotiations are welcomed by the player who wants to return to Brazil.

Pedro Raul's CV, revealed by Cruzeiro RS, includes spells with Aimuri RS, Vitoria SC Por, Atlético GO, Botafogo, Kashiwa Reysol JP, Juarez Mexico and Goias, where he was deputy top scorer in the 2022 Brazilian League before that.
