Coach Zinedine Zidane may be ready to take charge of PSG, but, to take over the Paris squad in place of Mauricio Pochettino, the Frenchman is making some demands on the club’s board.
In one of the requests to the Paris Saint-Germain board of directors is for the club to appoint a player it trusts and a Brazilian athlete: Casemiro. Currently at Real Madrid, the midfielder is a personal request from Zidane to take over PSG next season.
Zidane wants to count on Casemiro for being a great captain and sees in the athlete a necessary internal presence for the French club, according to information from the Fichajes portal. In addition, the Brazilian’s experience in the Champions League controversy seems to be something unique in the characteristics of the athlete, and therefore it becomes a special request from Zidane at Paris Saint-Germain.
Zidane’s move with Casemiro to Paris Saint-Germain will not be easy
However, trying to expel Casemiro from Real Madrid will not be easy for Paris Saint-Germain, given that the 30-year-old Brazilian midfielder has a contract with Merengo until mid-2025, and today, his value is estimated at 60 million euros.
For PSG to fulfill Zidane’s wish, they will have to fight a good fight with the Merengues fans who have their reasons for loving the Brazilian defensive midfielder. Casemiro is one of the stars of Real Madrid, having played 323 matches and scored 30 goals in total. In addition, the Brazilian put his name in the history of the club by winning several titles, such as:
- 4 Champions League.
- 3 Club World Cups;
- 2 Spanish championships;
- 2 Spanish Super Cup;
- 1 Spanish Cup
- 2 European Super Cup.
