It’s been a few years since vinyl made a resurgence in popularity, and Christmas 2022 sales in the US show the format is peaking.
According to Luminate (via advertisement boardThe week ending Dec. 22 marked the biggest weekly sales of vinyl records in the “modern era,” the last 31 years, when music sales have been tracked since 1991.
Over 2 million and 200 thousand copies were sold in seven days, accounting for 57% of total album sales in the country during that period.
