On Friday (22), at Colegio Rocha Pombo, the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation presented the Vision project, which uses artificial intelligence to promote inclusion and ensure the quality of life for people with visual impairments.

Project Coordinator and Head of Science, Technology and Innovation Development, Carlos Bontem, along with Director Katia Bertol, explained that the next step is to conduct a survey on the demand for people with visual impairments across the city, in order to be able to do so. Device acquisition. However, they stressed the importance of technology to help educate people with visual impairments.

Currently, the municipal education network includes two completely blind and five visually impaired students.
