The video shows Kamala walking and answering a call. He has a microphone attached to his clothes. You can hear Obama and Michelle’s voices. Then the presumptive nominee says: “Hello, are you together? (meaning to be together on the same call). “It’s good to hear them.”.

In the sequence, the Democratic front-runner is pictured with the phone in her right hand while Obama’s voices are heard. At the end, she thanks them and comments to the couple in a questioning tone: “Thank you both, that means a lot. And let’s enjoy it too, shall we?Then the video ends and the message appears. “perfect for the presidency”.

The way the video was released gives the impression that Kamala’s campaign is trying to show it as a spontaneous recording. But there are signs that the material was agreed upon and rehearsed, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Here are some signs:

• Kamala is pictured answering the phone.
• By the time Kamala answers the phone, Obama’s voices can already be heard, but the presumptive nominee does not appear to be activating the speakerphone function (if so, it is possible that the lapel microphone attached to her jacket is picking up the conversation);
• Kamala uses an iPhone, which does not yet have a call recording function, so there may be a possibility that the audio was recorded in some other way and then inserted into her campaign video.
