The Paranaense Science and Technology Award is open for registration. In this thirty-seventh edition, the works shall focus on the fields of engineering and biological sciences.
Researchers, extension students, undergraduates, independent inventors, and journalists can register. In total, there are five categories in each region with a total of 10 prizes worth up to R$36,400.

According to the notice, the deadline for submitting works is July 11, which can be submitted free of charge on the website available here.
Interested parties must submit a registration form, documents and a video, up to three minutes long, showcasing the proposed innovation. In the science journalism category, the report must have been published between January 1, 2023 and July 11, 2024.
Awards
For teachers, in research and extension methods, the award is worth R$36,400; In the categories of independent inventors and professional journalists, the prize amounts to R$14,500; For undergraduate students, the award amounts to 12,100 Brazilian riyals.
According to the Paraná government, the resources come from the Paraná Fund, a budget allocation for scientific and technological development, administered by the State Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher Education (SETI). Adding the ten awards brings the total investment in evaluating and encouraging scientific production to R $ 228,300.
