The São Lucas Hospital, which already has an ICU and CT unit, will soon have a dialysis sector

Sao Lucas Hospital works to increase the quality of services provided to the population. After the 2013-2016 municipal administration almost decided to close it, which no longer knew what to do to keep it open, the administration of Mayor João Carlos dos Santos was elected and took office in 2017 with the commitment to save the only hospital in the country. The city was better than expected.

As of 2017, through controversial – but strategic – municipal intervention and several plans that were widely questioned and questioned by members of the opposition council, the Hospital of São Lucas is growing more and more and exceeding the expectations of even the most pessimistic, who did not believe and underestimated My every health achievement is due to the interests of political groups.

In addition to the intensive care unit, which includes 10 beds, the pediatric and CT home, renovation work is now underway to implement the dialysis sector. There is now also an ambulance on standby at UPA, which at certain times has three doctors at a time to assist or transport to the hospital for hospitalization or a CT scan. Soon, there will be another SAMU ambulance, complementing the current one, which has also been new in recent years.
