The Civil Police of São Paulo has requested clarification from Corinthians as part of an investigation into the possible use of oranges in the mediation of the old sponsorship contract with VaideBet. In a letter prepared on Wednesday night (9), delegate Thiago Fernando Correa demanded clarifications from the club regarding the receipt of R$56 million. The police have not set a deadline for responding to Corinthians, but are counting on the club’s common sense to respond quickly to questions.

Corinthians’ contract with VaideBet allowed the use of Zelu Brasil or Pay Brokers as payment intermediaries. VaideBet transferred R$10 million to Corinthians via Pay Brokers. The information was initially published by “ge” and has been confirmed by bayonet!.
Suspicion prompted the Orange to investigate
According to the contractual terms, if VaideBet uses other intermediaries, it will be necessary to request written permission and obtain prior approval from the club. So far, there is no evidence that this condition has been met, prompting the authorities to ask Corinthians for an official position.
The document, signed by delegate Thiago Fernando Correa, also asks the club to contact Luis Ricardo Alves, known as Seedorf, the financial supervisor in the current management of Augusto Melo. Seedorf had already given evidence at the beginning of September, but the hearing was interrupted due to attempted intervention by his lawyer, who allegedly sought to guide the defendant’s responses at that time.
The investigation into the contract between Corinthians and VaideBet has been ongoing since May, after suspicions emerged about Orange’s possible involvement in brokering the agreement.
