The Museum of Science and Technology opens its doors for school visits – Cachoeiro de Itapemirim City Hall

The Cachoeiro de Itapemirim Museum of Science and Technology, which reopened at the end of 2023, is officially open for visits, promising an enriching experience for students and visitors of all ages. Located in Rua Moreira, Coronel Borges neighborhood (next to the Supermercado Semper Tem), the museum has undergone a major redesign, the result of a partnership between Cachoeiro City Hall and the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Espírito Santo (Ifes).

During visits, mentors, who are students of Ifes, work on site, providing assistance and guidance to visitors. The initiative aims to promote and encourage scheduling visits by school groups to the museum. The first technical visit after the reformulation is scheduled to take place on June 27 to receive students from Sesi de Cachoeiro. There will be approximately 20 students in the morning and 40 students in the afternoon.

Students have the opportunity to participate in practical classes covering topics such as mechanics, mathematics, physics and chemistry, as well as moments of entertainment and entertainment. The aim is to provide an educational proposal outside the classroom, especially for students from the second year of primary school, who already have a certain level of understanding in mathematics and science. However, the museum is open to all interested visitors, and groups of more than 10 people must book in advance.

The Cachoeiro de Itapemirim Museum of Science and Technology, now equipped with attractions such as a human elevator, a satellite dish, a black hole, a nerve tester, a human pile and a gyrotechnic, is a space ready to welcome visitors and provide a fun and interactive educational experience.

Executive Coordinator of Technology, Innovation and Smart Cities (CTI), Elcio Paes de Sa Neto, highlights the joint efforts to reopen the museum. “We all know how important this space is and how hard we have worked to make it operational again.
