The Municipal Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (CMCTI), which was created by Supplementary Law No. 163/2022, published last week in the official body, held its first regular meeting on the morning of Tuesday 03. Opening the work, Mayor Marco Franzato spoke about the importance of the CMCTI. “We focus on the development of Cianorte in the most diverse areas and this council, among other functions, comes to collaborate with ideas and develop innovation projects that benefit the entire community. I am sure that the step we take today will affect the history of the municipality”, defended Franzato.
CMCTI has 24 members (12 full members / 12 alternate members) from government and civil society. Council members will be responsible for approving company registration, preparing the annual chart of accounts and planning actions, deliberating on expenditures for the Municipal Science, Technology and Innovation Fund (FMCTI), innovation and project development, among other strategies. Actions involving the municipality’s Science, Technology and Innovation Program.
“FMCTI will enable the Council to provide effective financial support to innovative programs and projects of interest to municipal science, technology and innovation policy. It represents 0.7% of tax revenue, and is the second innovation fund of this kind in Paraná. In this sense, I would like to thank Mayor Marco for taking on this cause” The Minister of Economic Development, Larissa Minegello Peggy Poli, said:
