This Sunday (26), Gustavo Lima surprised during a concert in Rio de Janeiro. An audience chorus shouting “Fora Bolsonaro” ended up stealing the scene between songs.
While the singer was attending the “Toast to Catcheros in Barra da Tijuca”, the audience began to demonstrate against the president. Then he asked the song to continue playing.
Gustavo Lima has shown his support for Bolsonaro, since before his election in 2018. His compatriot has published pamphlets in favor of the president and his boss has defended him after receiving criticism while living in the pandemic.

Sirtanius and Bolsonaro
The sertanejo class is still one of Jair Bolsonaro’s main support bases in the artistic field. Besides Gustavo Lima, other singers have publicly defended Bolsonaro.
In 2020, the duo Bruno and Maron, who have already supported the use of chloroquine to treat coronaviruses, defended the president, even without scientific evidence of its effectiveness.
“I talk about Bolsonaro because he is an honest man. What Brazil needed is honest people to clean up the ‘disgramaia’ that existed, everything is robbing us,” Bruno said on a radio programme.
In January last year, the President welcomed about 30 artists to the Palácio do Planalto for the “Encontro com sertanejos” agenda. Some of the participants were singers Henrique, Giuliano, Gades, Judson, Joao Neto and Federico e Teodoro from the duo Teodoro and Sampaio. On this occasion, a letter of support was delivered to the President.
