The production of “Marcelo, Marmelo, Martelo,” featuring former CQC Oscar Filho in the cast, will premiere July 8, on Paramount+, in Brazil, exclusively on the Rest of Latin America streaming platform, and at 6:30 p.m. on Nickelodeon Brazil.
The 13-episode series is based on the children’s classic Ruth Rocha and will also arrive in Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Austria, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Switzerland later this year.
“MMM” tells the adventures of a different boy who has his own way of talking, thinking and dressing. His antics and inventive wordplay help him win over his three best friends in the Caramillo neighborhood: Catapemba, the fastest soccer player; Teresinha, a highly organized girl; and Gabriella, who is very smart and has the strongest kick in the neighborhood.
Together, they will change the world with every episode.
The cast is led by Enzo Rosetti, Davi Martins, Rihanna Barbosa and Lara Capuzzo who bring Ruth Rocha’s characters to life.
Besides them, Antonella Cantu, Billy Saga, Karen Hills, Marcia Manfredini, Priscilla Sol, Theo Wernick, as well as Oscar.
The general direction is Eduardo Weissmann.
Launched in 1976 and published by Salamandra, Marcelo, Marmelo, Martillo has more than 55 editions, a critical and public success and, above all, a classic used in schools throughout Brazil. With more than 180 books published in her 50-year career, Ruth Rocha has sold more than 40 million books in Brazil and abroad, and her work has been translated into 25 languages.
