The family lives near Kissos Lake in Wisconsin, where alligators are not uncommon
A cat found an alligator’s head in the backyard and took the remains back to their owners. The case occurred in Waukesha County, VA Wisconsin (USA)π§π·
In an interview with FoxWendy Fiesehuegel, the animal’s owner, said the cat tugged at the alligator’s head as if it was a trophy.
“Unexpected for sure. He was very proud of himself,” he said.
Wendy said she saw the cat playing with something in the distance, but assumed it was a fish, since it lives near Lake Kissos. “But [ao se aproximar]I bent down and thought, βThis is not a fish. This is a crocodile.β
The American contacted the Department of Natural Resources’ Director of Conservation, Tim Asperson, to report the situation. According to the expert, the corpse looked like a real animal, which would be about a meter long.
Because the appearance of alligators is not uncommon in the area, Wendy said she considers the case a warning, as the presence of the reptiles in the lake could threaten the safety of residents and swimmers.
“I thought about how serious this is and how awful it would be if I was on the lake and it was summer and people were swimming,” he said.
