The Cámara Cascudo Museum (MCC) celebrates the National Science and Technology Week, the largest scientific publishing event in the country. In 2024, the chosen theme suggests thinking about the diversity, knowledge and social technologies surrounding Brazil’s biomes. Activities are concentrated at the Millennium Challenge Center on the 18th (Friday) and 19th (Saturday), where the events target audiences of all ages, especially children.
The program begins with the Barca dos Céus Planetarium, which will bring its dome to the exhibition pavilion for the sessions on Friday and Saturday with its new medium that asks the question “Where is the moon?”, to understand how the sky inspired and inspires them. The imagination of different peoples in telling their stories.
The School of Archeology website also welcomes children back to experience and discover the work of these professionals who uncover the past through traces of human occupation in other times. On Saturday, singer from Ceredo Catarina Calunguera will attend her João Redondo stage, live from Ibuera (RN), to perform Auto do Boi Aurora. Through the Mamulengo dolls, the piece references the Boi de Reis, a tradition from Rio Grande do Norte, telling stories about the Sertao of Ceredo and the animals of the Caatinga.
