The British Council has opened applications for the Postgraduate Scholarship Program in the United Kingdom. The vacancies are targeted at Brazilian graduates in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.
The British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM program offers a total of ten scholarships.
Globally, the British Council is establishing support programs for women and girls in STEM, designed with a holistic approach.
It aims to encourage young women to work in science, technology, engineering and maths, helping those working in these areas to achieve leadership positions and to connect with peers in their home region and across the UK.
These initiatives include global partnerships with 19 UK universities. For Brazil, Aston and Essex universities offer vacancies aimed at Brazilian women with a background in STEM to encourage future generations, especially those living under financial constraints, to pursue inclusive lives.
Selected applicants will receive a scholarship to study a postgraduate degree at one of the prestigious UK universities that are part of the programme.
