The allowance amount has been released for PIS / Pasep 2022 who will receive

With the arrival of the new year, it is normal for the salary and other benefits of workers to undergo adjustment. Among the benefits subject to correction, we have the PIS / Pasep Salary Bonus.

The adjustment of the PIS / Pasep allowance is directly affected by the correction of the national minimum wage, which this year was set by the government at R$1,1212, an adjustment of R$112 compared to the 2021 minimum wage.

Who is eligible for this year’s salary bonus?

As established by the legislation, in order to receive a salary bonus, a worker must meet the following requirements:

  • average monthly wage up to a minimum wage in the base year;
  • Have a business card for at least five years;
  • have worked for at least 30 days in the base year of payments;
  • The worker’s data must be included in the annual Social Information Report (RAIS).

RAIS is the companies’ obligation to the government, as all workers’ data, such as the average amount received each month, is sent.

To perform the consultation in RAIS and check if everything is in order, the process is simple, just access the portal ra.gov.br And carry out the consultation using your PIS / Pasep number.

It should be noted that the RAIS Consultation 2022 has not yet been released, however the RAIS Consultation will be conducted at the same link.

What is the value of PIS / Pasep 2022

As mentioned at the beginning, the salary bonus is adjusted annually, as the minimum wage is corrected. Thus, workers who worked within 12 months of the base year will be able to receive R$1,212.

On the other hand, the workers who worked for fewer months in the base year will get the proportional amount. To determine the amount to receive, simply divide 1212 (minimum wage) by 12 (twelve months of the year) and multiply the result by the number of working months.

Example: An employee who worked for 6 months in the base year, just divide 1212 by 12 = 101 x 6 (6 months worked) = BRL 606 to receive.

Double PIS / Pasep

Many workers doubt that the PIS/Pasep allowance will be paid twice. However it is necessary a little attention from the workers.

This is because the payment will be doubled compared to the 2020 salary bonus, which has been postponed for this year, as well as the 2021 bonus, which must also be paid this year.

Thus, they will be entitled to two PIS/Pasep payments, only the workers who are entitled to the benefits in 2020 and also in 2021.

As for the amount, it should not be “doubled”, but must be paid in proportion to the number of working months in 2020 and 2021.

Therefore, it is necessary to note that the double payment relates to the two accrued bonus workers for 2020 and 2021 and not the exact amount that will be doubled.

Finally, anyone who is eligible for the bonus only in 2020 or only in 2021 will not receive the PIS/Pasep accrued salary bonus.

Payment schedule

According to the information received from the Ministry of Labor and the Consultative Council of the Workers’ Support Fund (Codefat), which is the board responsible for managing the program, the payment schedule will be determined at the next meeting of the members of the Council.

The council, which includes representatives from businesses, workers and government, expects the meeting to take place until January 15, when the payment schedule will be determined and published.

However, we can say that the payments will start in January and should be paid to all workers due to them by December, thus, all workers will receive this year.
