In a sample of 53 countries, Vietnam ranked first as the easiest country for those who want to live abroad, for the fourth year in a row. The data comes from consulting firm InterNations, in a study published by the North American Broadcasting Corporation. cnbcLast Sunday, 7.
The Expat Insider 2024 survey surveyed more than 12,000 people from 174 different locations. The analysis provided data on the best and worst places to live, quality of life, working abroad, and personal finances.

To create the Personal Finance Index, InterNations asked respondents how satisfied they were in three areas: overall cost of living, satisfaction with their financial situation, and whether their family’s disposable income was enough to live comfortably.
The results reveal that Vietnam remains at the top of the rankings. classification Of the countries, with little change this year: Brazil entered the list in ninth place, while Malaysia fell from fifth to eleventh place.
Expats are satisfied with the cost of living.
Among expatriates in Vietnam, 86% rate the cost of living positively, more than double the global average of 40%.
Additionally, 65% of respondents in the country said they were satisfied with their financial situation, compared to 54% globally.
The report revealed that “in the survey, 68% of the population say that their household disposable income is more than enough for a comfortable life, compared to 41% worldwide.”

Southeast Asia, in particular, stood out, with Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand among the best performers.
