Technical Forum on Science and Innovation Arrives in Lavras

The meeting on 2/9 will mobilize participants from the southern region of the country in building proposals in the fields of science, technology and innovation.

The Forum, launched by the Legislative Assembly of the State of Minas Gerais (ALMG) and nearly 50 partner entities, aims to achieve the main objective of: Building proposals for State Plan for Science, Technology and Innovation.

The regional meetings programme starts at 8am, with the accreditation of participants. At 9am, the event opens, followed by lectures on The importance of the state plan for science, technology and innovation, the scenario, potential and challenges in this field.

in Lafras, the discussions will open with lectures by the Director of Innovation and Technology at OUFLA, Paulo Henrique Leme, and the President of the Federal University of Alvinas (UNIFAL), Sandro Amadeo Cervera.

After the lectures, working groups will be formed to discuss the proposals based on four axes:

  • Structure of the State’s Science, Technology and Innovation Policy
  • Social development and quality of life
  • Nature and Society
  • Smart, sustainable and creative cities

Finally, the participants will select representatives from the southern region who will participate in the official phase of the forum in the capital.
