Singer Taylor Swift took advantage of her London tour to meet with family members and victims of a knife attack in Southport, UK, the information was shared on Monday (19/8) by Variety.
The brutal attack took place at the end of July, when an attacker stormed a yoga and dance workshop called The Artist for girls aged between 6 and 11. On that occasion, the criminal stabbed eight children and two adults, six of whom are in critical condition. At least three girls did not survive their injuries. The case sparked a wave of protests in the United Kingdom, with extremist crowds blaming immigrants for the country’s destruction. The perpetrator, who was arrested, was born in the United Kingdom, but is of Rwandan origin.
On TikTok, the victims’ mother, Sami Foster, shared some photos she took during a backstage visit to a concert in England, where Taylor Swift is seen alongside her daughters Hope and Autumn. The encounter took place at Wembley Stadium, where the artist is wrapping up her European shows.
“Thank you so much to Taylor Swift and her mom for making the most magical night possible for all of us. Thank you for bringing pure joy to Hope and Autumn last night and always,” Sami wrote. In addition to them, other members of the girls’ families also appeared on the registries.
The singer has not publicly commented on the meetings, nor has she revealed how many families she hosted during her time in London. The post highlights that Sammy Foster’s relatives were not the only ones behind the scenes.
“Prone to fits of apathy. Problem solver. Twitter buff. Wannabe music advocate.”
