Taylor Swift meets girls who were victims of attacks in the UK

Singer Taylor Swift took advantage of her tour in London to meet with family members and victims of the knife attack in Southport, United Kingdom. The information was shared on Monday (8/19) by Variety.

The brutal attack occurred at the end of July, when an assailant broke into an artist-themed yoga and dance workshop for girls aged 6 to 11. On that occasion, the criminal stabbed eight children and two adults, six of whom were in critical condition. At least three girls did not survive their injuries. The issue sparked a wave of protests in the United Kingdom, where crowds of extremists blamed migrants for sabotaging the country. The perpetrator, who was caught in this act, was born in the United Kingdom, but is of Rwandan origin.

On TikTok, the mother of the two victims, Sami Foster, shared some photos she took during a backstage visit to a concert in England, where Taylor Swift appears alongside her daughters Hope and Outum. The meeting took place at Wembley Stadium, where the artist is finishing her performances in Europe.

“Thank you so much to Taylor Swift and her mom for making the most magical night possible for all of us. Thank you for bringing pure happiness to Hope and Autumn last night and always,” Sammi wrote. In addition to them, other members of the girls’ families also appeared in the records.

The singer did not comment publicly on the meetings, nor did she reveal the number of families she hosted during her time in London. The publication highlights that Sami Foster’s relatives were not the only ones behind the scenes.
