Spain recalled its ambassador to Buenos Aires To hold consultations on Sunday, the 19th, after the President of Argentina, Javier Miley made insulting comments about the wife of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro SanchezDuring a far-right march in Madrid.

Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albarez said he expected an apology from Miley.
Other ministers also condemned Miley’s speech, which described socialism as “damned and cancerous”. Sanchez leads the Spanish Socialist Party.
“With his behavior, Miley took the relationship between Spain and Argentina to the most dangerous situation in modern history,” Albares said in a video statement.
Miley’s visit broke diplomatic protocol, as he refused to meet Spain’s King Felipe and Sánchez, preferring to promote his book alongside Vox leader Santiago Abascal at the party’s rally.
“Attacks against family members of political leaders have no place in our culture,” EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said in a post on X.
