A project promoted by branches of a pharmacy chain in Piracicaba (SP) raised R $ 7,602.81 in three months to donate to treat general patients at Mordi Hospital Cana. Solidarity Change collects the change from clients who wish to donate and sends it to the health unit.
The first transfer was used to purchase a new light therapy device for newborns, which helps the growth of premature babies, according to the pharmacy chain.
The Troco Solidário campaign began in February with 31 units of the Drogal Network in Periracaba. To participate, the customer only needs to donate the coin (coins or cash) and the collected amount will be directed to the hospital.
Funds are allocated monthly through an account that is opened exclusively for the campaign. Donations made on the cash register are detailed on the tax slip. Transfer is distributed to Banco de Leite, Oncology Center (Ceon), Center for Nephrology Services (Cian), and HFC Neonatal ICU.
Cana Hospital Suppliers is a private hospital, but has an agreement with Piracicaba City Hall to take care of patients through the Unified Health System (SUS).
