Serra Talhada School Celebrates Women in Science During Exhibition – Notícias Farol

To make a difference in the education of adolescents in Serra Talhada, the Clovis Nogueira Alves State Technical School held the 2024 Science Fair, under the theme “Women in Science: Achievements, Challenges and Perspectives,” on September 12 and 13.

The event highlighted the importance of women in scientific fields and sparked significant discussions about the obstacles and progress women have made throughout history.

The school was transformed into a large exhibition hall, and the classrooms in the integrated high school became small independent exhibitions. The event highlighted women who excelled in various fields of knowledge, such as politics, engineering, literature, and others.

“Each classroom was transformed into an exhibition showcasing projects covering different fields of knowledge, from engineering to literature. Always from the perspective of great women scientists who have made and continue to make a difference in the world. The exchange of knowledge was intense, as we welcomed many schools into the city to honor the hard work of our students and teachers,” said Assistant Principal Edmilson Marquez, adding:

However, according to the teacher, the success of the exhibition was not only noticeable by the content presented, but also by the organization and participation of the entire school community.

“The highlight of the event was seeing the sparkle in the eyes of the visitors and the enthusiasm of the students as they shared their research and discoveries. This was an enriching experience for all involved, reinforcing our school’s mission to promote transformative and quality education. The Science Fair was not just an educational event, but a celebration of science and the power of women.
