A group of senators is on an official trip to the United States this week to learn about and discuss cybersecurity practices with representatives of the U.S. government, private sector companies and non-governmental organizations.
“Participants will receive Intelligence U.S. “Explore the strategic frameworks and regulatory measures that support cyber security efforts, explore cutting-edge technologies and practices used by leading organizations, and learn about the strategic roles of NGOs,” it says. Senators are also part of the delegation. Chico Rodriguez (PSB-RR), Astronaut Marcos Pontes (PL-SP), Fernando Duer (MDB-PE) and Sergio Moro (União Brasil-PR).
The first stop on Wednesday was the National Cyber Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA) in Pittsburgh. It is a non-profit organization, founded in 2002, dedicated to identifying, mitigating and neutralizing cyber threats through strategic partnerships with experts from the public, private and academic sectors.
On Thursday and Friday, the senators will participate in an exchange on best practices in cybersecurity at the Inter-American Development Bank headquarters in Washington, DC, co-organized with the Digi Americas Alliance. There will be representatives from GSI, National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), Anatel, Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI) and Itamaraty.
