Flamengo are finalising the details to announce Michael’s new signing.
Flamengo are on the verge of announcing the signing of Michael. The 28-year-old striker is set to leave Saudi Arabia to return to Ruber Negro after being involved in nearly 50 goals for Al Hilal. The right winger has 22 goals and 22 assists in total.
Michael had his best season with Al Hilal in 203/24. This is because the striker scored 11 goals and provided ten assists in 52 matches. Moreover, the former Flamengo player also participated in the most matches in a single season with the Saudi club.

The right winger arrived at Al Hilal in January 2022 and played his last match with the Saudi team on Saturday (17), in the Saudi Super Cup. So, after winning the title 4-1 against Al Nassr led by Cristiano Ronaldo, the former Brazilian Flamengo player leaves Middle Eastern football on a high at the start of the new season.
Michael’s nicknames
In Saudi football since 2022, Michael has won six titles. They are: the Saudi League twice (2021/22 and 2023/24), the Saudi Super Cup twice (2023 and 2024), and the King’s Cup for Champions twice (2022/23 and 2023/24). In this way, the Middle Eastern trophies join the four that have been lifted during Flamengo’s reign: 1x Recopa Sol Americana (2020), 1x brasileirao (2020) and the Brazilian Super Cup twice (2020 and 2021).
Flamengo have intensified talks over Michael after suffering an injury to one of their current strikers, Everton Cebollinha, who underwent surgery on his left Achilles tendon and will not return to the pitch until 2025.
