On Tuesday (9), the Minister of Science and Technology for Social Development, Ignacio Arruda, received the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Brazil, Rashad Novruz. The Minister thanked Minister Luciana Santos for the visit and explained that the current government attaches great importance to the resumption of international cooperation and the establishment of strong relations with other countries.
“The MCTI is in full swing and the Social Development Secretariat, which has been recreated, is interested in cooperating with other countries in technology transfer for the benefit of the Brazilian people,” said the minister, adding that health and climate change are priority agendas for international cooperation.
“My mission is to strengthen bilateral relations with Brazil and find new opportunities for cooperation,” the ambassador added, recalling that many documents are under negotiation between the two countries, including agreements between AEB and the Azerbaijani Space Agency (Azercosmos) and between CNPq and the National Academy of Sciences.
According to Ambassador Nowruz, the two agreements could be signed during the International Astronautical Congress, in Baku, from 2 to 6 October 2023.
